EDGEWOOD COLLEGE

In October 2004, the Kohler Foundation, Inc. gave the Painted Forest site to Edgewood College (located in Madison, WI) to use as an educational center and museum. The College has pledged to continue the site's role in educating students, artists, researchers and other visitors and to preserve this unique Wisconsin "outsider-art" treasure for the future.

EDGEWOOD COLLEGE ART DEPARTMENT

The Art Department at Edgewood College is known to provide individual attention to its students within the diverse and lively setting of Madison. The city is a hub for art and culture in the state of Wisconsin. Exposure and access to Madison's lively arts community coupled with individual attention, augments students' creativity and artwork.

KOHLER FOUNDATION, INC.

The Kohler Foundation's art preservation efforts are at the forefront of the self-taught and outsider-art movements. The Foundation has received many awards for its role in preservation and art education.

MODERN WOODMEN OF AMERICA

The Modern Woodmen of America Association's primary goal is to support the needs of people working hard to develop their nation. The Painted Forest's murals reflect the MWA's concern for supporting the nation's growth by fostering fraternity among industrious men and by paying death benefits to widows of these men who died in the pursuit of developing the American Dream.
